The new charger for the BRP 1200 proportionally raises the engines HP as the speed of the snowmobile rises. We call this system as a "speed helper".
The impeller is fixed on the secondary clutch. It starts to turn only when the snowmobile begins its movement, so it has no effect on start or take off. As the snowmobile rises in speed the impeller creates a positive pressure in the engines intake. The snowmobiles intake map sensor reads the added pressure and gives the ECU the signal to add the correct amount of fuel, resulting in more HP.
The impeller produces approximately 2 psi boost when the snowmobile reaches its top speed, resulting a 13% gain on atmospheric pressure. It takes 4 HP to drive the impeller so final HP gains are of 10% or 14 HP.
This product was developed from the comments we received by 1200 4 stroke BRP owners. There is a very high satisfaction cut from these owners, but the critic that most often returns is that high speed drivers would like a little more top end pull while keeping the bottom and mid range the way it is. They are very satisfied with back-shift, mid acceleration and fuel consumption but want more top end speed.
G-force Division developed this new and different way of rising HP. This system was intended for the daily driver wanting more Hp from his snowmobile with-out affecting the reliability. The snowmobile remains silent and conserves its original aspect. The GF-BRP Charger is easy to install (2hrs) and requires no modification. Your snowmobile keeps its full resale value.
